In 2009, the NCAA’s Football Bowl Subdivision announced a new bowl game coming to Yankee Stadium. The Pinstripe Bowl paired the fourth-place team from the Big East Conference against the seventh-place team from the Big 12 Conference and would be sponsored by New Era Cap Company. Game organizers were looking for a way to capitalize on national ESPN coverage by offering sideline advertising and sponsorships.
Britten proposed an advertising solution with real, on-the-field functionality—collapsible and padded Sideline Signatures™. These light weight, a-frame panels can be arranged in any configuration. Quick-attach banners can also be easily removed in seconds for single-game sponsorships.
From 2010 until now, Sideline Signatures™ define the perimeter of the Yankee Stadium playing field, delivering premium advertising/branding real estate that also protects players against injury while keeping staff, the public, and the press at a safe distance from the action.
