Secret Meals for Hungry Children is an Alabama based nonprofit that addresses child food insecurity by providing weekend meals to students who rely on free or reduced lunches during the school week. To raise awareness and community support, the organization hosted a public event activation at The Venue. It was designed to educate attendees and inspire involvement through fun, family-oriented activities and games. Secret Meals was looking to partner with a one-stop-shop with the ability to handle the event fabrication and build out the entire experience under one roof. Britten was the obvious choice.
By partnering with our team, Secret Meals was able to utilize our vast scope of event fabrication capabilities to transform the venue into a fully branded immersive environment. We designed and built a plethora of custom visual elements, including a dynamic stage backdrop, oversized Foam3D™ letters, interactive game areas, and custom-printed banners. Each detail was crafted to reflect the organization’s mission and encourage meaningful community engagement towards their overarching goal of ending child food insecurity.
Secret Meals’ dedication to serving their community was immediately apparent in the intentionality of the design for their event. Children and their families came together to enjoy games, be inspired by guest speakers, and participate in hands-on activities that connected back to the charity initiative. The interactive event was successful in increasing awareness for both the Secret Meals brand and their sponsors. It also encouraged community support towards their continuous mission and goals. Our team’s creative contributions to the design, fabrication, and installation of the event helped turn it into a compelling platform for storytelling and action, allowing attendees to connect with the cause and lend their support to struggling children across Alabama while having a little fun.
