Slotting into the eclectic and collegiate scene of Ithaca, NY is contemporary brewpub Revelry Yards. Situated on the backside of trendy restaurant row, Revelry boasts an expansive patio labeled “The Yards.” Playing host to outsized tabletop games such as massive Connect Four, towering giant Jenga and the omnipresent corn hole (or “bags” depending upon from where you hail), this lengthy concrete courtyard is the optimum hangout, replete with relaxed vibes and in-house craft beer.
Central to this centrally located locale is an impressive container bar. Stylish with a modern gray paint finish and featuring awnings and wood bar tops on three sides, this shipping container turned tap hub was made possible by non-other than BoxPop®. In need of a functional and modular bar that settled into the casual air of the back patio, Revelry Yards contacted BoxPop® for an ideal solution. A standard 20’ single container was selected as the best template for the project. Hoping to best capitalize on available space and also serve customers at every opportunity, large bay windows with wood flip-up bar tops were installed on each side of the container—complete with lift-assisted awnings that could be closed and secured each evening. Outfitted with refrigerators, drink coolers, kitchen hardware, and completely wired and plumbed, this self-sufficient suds stand was the perfect addition to The Yards atmosphere.
Featuring twelve beers on tap and offering additional bar side seating along the broadsides of the container, this standalone bar was destined to become a popular fixture for the patrons of Revelry Yards.
