The Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting is a nation-wide congregation where churches and followers from every state assemble to vote on the laws and legislation of the Southern Baptist Church. This convention also provides the opportunity for organizations to promote their services to attendees in the form of a trade show.
In 2023, the entire convention saw 12.9 million attendees in total, which is a massive amount of potential impressions for any organization. This motivated Lifeway, a Christian resources provider, to go all out this year, upgrading from a basic, simple tabletop booth to an entire custom trade show booth to grab the attention of attendees at the 2024 gathering.
Designing and fabricating a custom trade show booth is not a simple task, however, and Lifeway needed the help from a vendor that could create a showstopping presentation of their brand and fill the entirety of the 110'x110' space with backlit SEG, floor decals, custom woodwork and Foam3D™ in order to make a great first impression. In light of this challenge, they reached out to us at Britten, where we are used to taking on tasks of this level of scale and customization.
The first thing that visitors saw upon approaching the booth was a massive backlit SEG system featuring the Lifeway logo, hoisted into the sky. To pull this off, we used a truss system to lift the glowing print up, where it attracted prospective attendees. Combined with the custom welcome structure made at the booth's entrance, visitors were ushered into the grand exhibit with style. The custom SEG walls served as temporary partitions to divide the booth into distinct segments.
Our team took on the task of fabricating a gigantic floor decal, we intentionally placed the oversized Lifeway floor decal right in the center of the booth to create a cohesive look that drew attendees in and invited them to have a conversation. It also created another opportunity for branded impressions as guests moved their way through the space and explored everything that the custom booth had to offer.
To help them stand out from the hundreds of other booths, Lifeway asked us to fabricate a giant arch in the shape of a church steeple (pictured above), using a combination of woodworking and custom fabrication. We also tapped into our custom woodworking capabilities for custom fixtures and furniture to warm up the space and create multiple lounge areas. Lastly, small Foam3D™ elements were incorporated into the design to give the space more personality and charm.
