Setting the Bar High for Faces of Fitness
"Think Lollapalooza, but for fitness!"
The Faces of Fitness festival is an annual event that brings together local studios, instructors, and celebrities for a two-day celebration of health and wellness. It’s a great chance to be active and enjoy live music, all while supporting the underserved youth of the Chicago area.
With ideas for a brand-new main entrance in mind, the event staff reached out to us at Britten, where we were happy to support such a great cause. To pull it off, our whole team came together to fabricate custom wooden features, printed elements, and hardware, all through a single streamlined process. The event staff worked closely with our designers to assure that each element matched the event's vision, with zero compromise.
As the setup of the festival was ramping up, our installation team set up each element on time and without hassle. The end result was a grand entrance showcasing the plethora of recreational exercise opportunities throughout the festival. In all, our design, fabrication, and installation capabilities make Britten a one-stop-event-shop to satisfy any vision, no matter the scale.
Custom Woodwork
For an eye-catching selfie spot, our woodworks team created several stackable wooden blocks to support props of a bright pink speaker and logo. The boxes were designed to be light enough to install swiftly and durable enough to withstand the crowd of people waiting to sit, stand, and jump on top of them. As a final touch, our team implemented a linking system to keep the boxes snugly together, making for a cohesive look and safe display.
Decals
Featured on the tower of blocks, the Faces of Fitness Logo was on full display, along with a huge, bright pink radio replica to match the brand's vibrant image. The decals created a colorful backdrop for selfies and aided the event in reaching more impressions from excited fans on social media.
Our print team designed and fabricated five double-sided mesh banners to showcase the day's activities. Hoisted above the main entrance, the banners displayed the timeline of events for each of the venue's four stages. With clean and crisp text and graphics, the high-flying banners were legible from a great distance away.
Hardware
Dotted throughout the venue were three custom teepees dedicated to the rest and rehabilitation of the event attendees. These structures were fabricated entirely by our print and metalworks teams, they collaborated to create both the fabric covers and sturdy hardware required for the build.
Another project from our metalworks team contributed to the several smaller stages throughout the venue. Our event truss system served as an easy setup and easy teardown route to a durable stage backdrop used to display a custom graphic.
