For Saint & Citizen, Art Basel Miami represented a rare opportunity to participate in the global art conversation at its most visible and influential moment. For Art Basel 2025 and the surrounding Miami Art Week, the brand envisioned an immersive takeover inside the East Wing of the Rubell Museum. Titled Saint Week, the three-day cultural takeover included visionary creators and immersive experiences that honored artistry, elevated underrepresented voices, and bridged the gaps between art, film, fashion, and music in a way that felt both contemporary and necessary.
The ambition of the concept came with significant constraints. The activation needed to feel permanent and museum-caliber, while being designed, fabricated, shipped, and installed within the accelerated timelines typical of Miami Art Week. From large-scale architectural features to fine-tuned graphics, every detail had to be executed with precision, durability, and visual impact in mind.
Britten partnered closely with Saint & Citizen to deliver a fully integrated, end-to-end solution encompassing design, fabrication, project management, logistics, and on-site installation. Working as both a creative and production partner allowed the team to move quickly, while maintaining full control over quality and intent. All components, including highly complex mirrored elements, were fabricated in-house to ensure accuracy, consistency, and speed under a compressed schedule.
The space was transformed through a sophisticated layering of materials and structures. Backlit graphics, SEG signage, and event backdrops delivered bold visual storytelling, complemented by precision floor decals that guided movement and reinforced the immersive narrative. Die-cut mirrored elements were strategically integrated to reflect light, multiply perspectives, and heighten the sensory experience without overwhelming. Foam3D™ logos and additional sculpted elements introduced dimensionality and form, while custom structural arches and truss systems redefined circulation and sightlines throughout the space.
At the heart of the takeover was Art Haus, a purpose-built environment designed and constructed together by Britten and Saint & Citizen, as a dedicated venue for artist conversations and curated art displays. Custom architectural elements and dimensional lettering established Art Haus as not only a programming space and visual anchor, but a seamless blend of content, community, and environment.
Saint Week was brought to life and delivered on schedule with exceptional precision. The immersive takeover became a destination throughout Art Basel, drawing sustained foot traffic and encouraging extended engagement within the space. Art Haus successfully hosted artist-led discussions and programming, reinforcing the installation’s role as a living, evolving environment rather than a static display.
By managing the entire project lifecycle, Britten ensured a cohesive, museum-quality result. The final installation positioned Saint&Citizen as a fearless, culture-driven brand and demonstrated how thoughtful design and fabrication can transform a space into a bold platform for contemporary expression.
