Despite the economic downturn of 2008, development forged ahead for the mixed-use, Mercato retail center based in Naples. An ambitious undertaking, the new build encompassed 315,000 square feet of main street-style retail and restaurants, 140,000 square feet of Class-A office space, as well as “Strada at Mercato”—92 luxury condos with an exclusive, resident rooftop amenity level.
Over 100,000 square feet of mesh were designed, printed, and installed by Britten's experienced retail specialists. Barricade graphics were individually measured and colorful artwork prepared for print. Long runs of fence scrim were also utilized to transform the sprawling construction site into a vibrant and inviting work-in-progress.
A decade later, The Mercato at Naples is a thriving community destination now anchored by Whole Foods Market, Nordstrom Rack, and the 12-screen Silverspot Cinema, a premier-style theater. Mercato offers 12 notable restaurants, over 20 upscale retailers, and luxury residential condominiums. Mercato hosts a vibrant year-round event calendar with most events free and open to the public.
