Disney Jr. and Walmart “Let’s Play” Mobile Marketing Tour and Experiential Event

Situation

To bring the Disney Jr. x Walmart “Let’s Play” mobile marketing tour to life, RSM partnered with Britten to create an immersive, family-friendly experiential marketing event designed to travel to five U.S. cities. The goal was simple but ambitious: transform ordinary Walmart parking lots into bright, energetic play zones where kids could move, dance, and connect through imaginative, hands-on experiences.

Behind the fun was a complex creative and logistical challenge. Every piece of the activation—from the interactive games to the flooring beneath them—had to be custom fabricated, visually cohesive, and durable enough to endure the wear and tear of a national tour. At the same time, each component needed to break down quickly for transport and reassembly, ensuring an efficient mobile marketing tour schedule without compromising design integrity. The Florence, Kentucky stop marked the activation’s debut, serving as both a public launch and a full-scale test of the system’s modular engineering and on-site execution.

Solution

Britten led project management, fabrication, and installation, orchestrating a full cross-division collaboration that blended artistry, engineering, and logistical precision. Every major element—aside from the printed wraps—was built entirely from scratch. Teams across Britten’s divisions worked hand-in-hand to create an environment that balanced playful creativity with technical durability.

Each piece of the activation was meticulously fabricated with Foam3D™, wood, aluminum, and vinyl signage—then hard coated, painted, and finished with precision-applied decals for a polished, cohesive look. An EventTruss™ system anchored the overall footprint, while printed rugs, detailed edge treatments, and consistent surface finishes tied the environment together visually.

To ensure smooth transitions between tour stops, Britten’s team trained local installation crews on setup and teardown procedures, building efficiency and consistency into every move. Each activation remained open for two days before being carefully packed, loaded onto a transport truck, and sent to the next destination.

Impact

The mobile marketing tour experience delivered on every level—capturing the fun, color, and imagination of the Disney Jr. brand while meeting Walmart’s operational requirements for mobility, speed, and safety. Families were drawn in by the interactive elements and lively atmosphere, transforming everyday retail spaces into hubs of laughter and connection.

By integrating design, fabrication, and installation under one roof, Britten ensured total quality control and seamless collaboration from concept to completion. The project demonstrated the power of strategic partnership and creative problem-solving—proving that with the right planning, large-scale branded experiential marketing events can travel effortlessly, engage audiences deeply, and bring national campaigns to life in any setting.
